Realize That Obstacles Are a Part of Growth

When we encounter challenges, we are put in the precarious position of needing the skill sets to overcome them. We might not have the skills necessary to overcome the challenge or obstacle at the beginning of the problem, but if we try to focus and push ourselves to accomplish our goals, we will find ourselves growing as people.

Each time you climb over a barrier, each time you are forced to overcome an obstacle, you grow stronger for the next one. Every challenge will directly contribute to your ability to grow as a problem solver. If you allow yourself to learn from all the obstacles and challenges that are in front of you, your life will be enriched greatly. Just as discomfort is nothing more than an indicator that change is happening, so obstacles are nothing more than an opportunity for growth.

A problem solver’s mindset is to look at challenges as ways for them to grow stronger. If they encounter something they can’t readily solve, they grow excited at the prospect to learn something new. You can learn so much from these challenges in your life if you start to look at them as good things instead of frustrations.

All it takes is a measured, focused decision to adopt a new pattern of thinking, one that looks at challenges as necessary for growth instead of something to avoid.
