Remedies for toothache

Crush a garlic clove to create a paste and apply it to the affected area. Alternatively you can also slowly chew a fresh garlic clove.

Baking soda

To use baking soda as a home remedy you will need baking soda, water and cotton ball. Moisten the cotton ball with water and cover it with baking soda. Place this cotton ball on the affected area to get relief from the pain.

Warm salt water

Warm salt water can reduce the swelling and also kill the bacteria. Add a teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water.
Dissolve the salt in the warm water and rinse your mouth with this.
Repeat it twice or thrice a day.

Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide helps in relieving pain and inflammation. It kills the bacteria, reduces plaque and also heels bleeding gums. Make sure you properly dilute the hydrogen peroxide. To do this, mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with equal parts water and use it as a mouthwash. Do not swallow.
